Hello! My name is Daniel Halvorsen. I am a fully licensed Mental Health Counselor (LPC). I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Minoring in Sociology, from Saginaw Valley State University. I then went on to complete a Clinical Counseling Master's Degree from Oakland University. Since completing my Master's, I have been providing Clinical Counseling, with an emphasis on serving diverse populations with mental health and behavioral issues. I take great pride in providing unconditional positive regard and acceptance to my clients, no matter what their background may be. Forming a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship is critical to Clinical Counseling. Helping clients develop greater insight about themselves and the world in which they live is central to their overall well-being and success. Empowering individuals to recognize and live up to their full potential is incredibly fulfilling and inspiring. Assisting people in their pursuit to heal and thrive has been my greatest privilege.
I have experience working with clients presenting with: Mood Disorders (Depression, Anxiety, Bi-Polar Disorders), Social Phobias, Behavioral Issues, Trauma-Related Disorders, Adjustment Disorders, LGBTQ Issues, Relationship Issues, Career/Academic Issues, Bereavement, Psychotic Disorders, Personality Disorders, and Substance Use Disorders.
